even better than a tripod stand is one of the cast metal rounds.

OMG, I certainly need an MBrace so I can use electric midi guitar during my set - - - this is an awesome invention as long as one uses a sturdy tripod mic stand - I'll be using one of my HD Tama stands.

This list is an amazing resource, glad I signed up, thanks for this tip!

or you could have a bass right there beside you as well. I'm trying out a looping set up with a bass on a stand, wearing the acoustic with a lap steel beside me. mixers and AB pedals galore. very complicated with vox set up. I had 2 loopers in the mix at one time but they weren't synchable so there was drift. just another suggestion....  good luck.

I use a boss oc3 octave pedal.
There are three settings, but two that are more useful.
There is a straight octave, which you can use to lay down a bass
track, Phil Keaggy uses this.
Also a feature called multi or something like this which allows you to
play chords on the guitar, and you can have the bass on certain notes.
So, use an octave pedal.
