Actually a softstep and a McMillen midi expander would work, as the midi expander has a power supply and was designed for people to use the SS with hardware devices, I also forgot to give you that old Roland FC50 320 × 110 - roland.com, I have, the unit is very basic though, you would need to configure all of your various presets on you machines to correspond to the foot controller midi preset #. This might be more time consuming but in the end might make more sense as you could use a simple two switch midi controller to scroll up or down through your presets. two such products are the TC G minor, images which is no longer made but can be found used, and the Tech 21 midi mouse MIDIMouse-large.jpg Bill

1) Eliminated Behringer, have had nothing but problems with gear from them - all sent back during warranties…2) Also eliminated the Soft Steps as they require USB power… 3) The Roland FC300 seems too big and too much $, has features I don't need like amp switching and more volume pedals… 4) the Yamaha MFC10 looks cool but the screen is sooo small - - 5) Liquid Foot Jr. looks nice but higher price than I want at this juncture...
It's looking like the Rocktron MIDI Mate for price, screen size, small footprint (will fit on my existing PedalTrain Pro) -
I'm in no rush though if other suggestions come in - - - http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MIDIMATERejyna

Gear Question:
At the start of each new song in a live performance, I need to change the starting patch number on four devices at once (drums, midi guitar, guitar multi-effects and vocalist harmonizer).
I have been told that there are devices that would make all these changes for me with one button push - neato!
So, here's some of the choices, any advice?
- RJM Music MasterMind - $329.00 - 4 simultaneous devices on different channels
- Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro Prog MIDI Foot Controller - $399 8 simultaneous devices
- Rocktron MIDI Raider MIDI Footcontroller Pedal $499 - Not sure how many devices simultaneous
- Rocktron MIDI Mate - $219 - Six changes on six channels simultaneously
- GORDIUS Little Giant 2 - $699 - Higher $ than I want to go and how many simultaneous?
Any I'm leaving out? (don't really want a keyboard in my rig and without a computer in the rig, USB powered controllers are out)
Thanks folks! Rejyna
