I've not had a chance to explore this properly (my manual reading head is used up at work all day) but I believe that it can be accomplished using the Oz sidecar pedal. The site says "MIDI IN merges and actively filters incoming MIDI data for optimal TimeLine synchronization and performance" and I have used it with a program changer in. http://www.moltenvoltage.com/products/OZ_by_PedalSync_-_Strymon_TimeLine_Delay_LOOPER_Controller_by_Molten_Voltage.html I am certain I read about it in an interview somewhere as one of the things that had been "turned on" by the Oz sidecar: I don't have any non-computer MIDI clock thingie to try, and my computers are in work-mode crunching things. I'll try to get around to seeing how it works, but it will take a while. NB: Yes, I keep mentioning this thing, but I'm not a salesperson for MV, have no vested interest etc: I really really love their stuff, and have for of their pedals. Bill is the nicest bloke to deal with and will make bespoke MIDI pedals if you ask nicely. He made me my "gracenote" sidecar for the Digitech Whammy DT to send really fast up+down or down+up at a tone and a semitone for playing bits in thumb pianos that are otherwise impossible. ---------------------------------------- > Date: Tue, 11 Nov 2014 14:38:53 +0100 > From: mihalw@gmail.com > To: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com > Subject: Re: what is the state of things with pedals these days? > > I think only the delay can be midi synced, not the looper. > > You will find a direct statement about it from Ethan from Strymon in the > discussion below: > http://www.strymon.net/2012/04/30/looping-with-strymon-timeline/ > > Note, Timeline will also not send midi clock (acc. to strymon faq). > > To make sure ask Strymon support directly, perhaps newer firmware > handles it better. > > Cheers, > Michał > >> i gotta say, I've been dying to get my mitts on one , but Im way over >> done on gear expenditures this year great to know about the midi note >> flexibility, does the looper respond to midi clock?
