oberheim echoplex serial number

Recently bought an Echoplex off Ebay, unit seems to be working fine - and 
i am very happy to finally be able to slice into my loops :)
Best looper ever to my own extent of experience, though it sounds a bit 
"dusty".

The serial number says EDP 001843 - 'd like to find out, when it got 
manufactured, but can't find a chart anywhere. 
Does any of you Echoplex users have an idea, where to look?
