>>At NEARFest this past June, Robert Moog's daughter had a vending booth and was taking donations for the Bob Moog Foundation. Apparently in his garage, they discovered many cardboard boxes filled with Mr. Moog's scribblings, notes, electronics diagrams, etc. which are in dire need of restoration. At a later date, they may make a public appearance in a museum or other such informational outlet somewhere.<< I saw this too, & wanted to grab a few minutes with michelle, but somehow it didn't happen. instead I silently dedicated a few minimoog notes to her during our set.... :-) I have one of the last signature theremins, which were tuned by dr robert himself. some of what they found is 1/4" tapes, which made me wish I was in the US & not the UK, as I would gladly start trawling through these tapes & round up enough bits to do a moog-equivalent of the raymond scott "manhattan research" package.... 1/4" reformatting & restoration is a bit of a hobby of mine. oh well. duncan.
