EDP and Logic

Hi all, I've been having trouble hooking up my EDP to my MacBook to  
use with Logic Express without getting feedback.  I'm using a  
Focusrite Sapphire Pro audio interface:  EDP out into quarter inch  
input track on the Focusrite, quarter inch out from Focusrite into  
the EDP in (on a different track), and one or two mics into Focusrite  
mic input.  It should be pretty simple, but it's not working...I  
would appreciate any thoughts on this - I'm eager to record my EDP  
music on Logic!  thanks so much.....Beth
