Frankly, I wouldn't dare and would >always take a backup screen/keyboard for my setup. I have to agree with you. This past summer, my prog band Pinnacle played at the ProgDay festival in NC and my laptop was acting up. That's all the keyboard sounds plus three soundclips. Without a keyboard and screen, recovery while I played bass to cover for the lack of keyboards would have been impossible. > Let's see: small computer, screen, keyboard... sounds like a laptop to >me!! ;-) ;-) LOL. But on a serious note: > sounds like a laptop to me!! ;-) Except for the cost. Macbook Pro (I assume firewire is required): from $1999 Mac mini: from $599 Of course, you'd have to add in the cost of a monitor, keyboard, and mouse to the Mac mini but, like someone else already said, you can get two Mac minis... and the cost is significantly less than a MB Pro. Many people bring an extra guitar or bass or even a synth. Imagine having backup for something as critical to the show as your computer is! Cheers, Bill
