Re: OT: New MBP... or not? (Firewire still necessary?)

nice to hear all of this since ive recently joined the mac world,i hate to bother you again with my stupid beginner questions, ive been a PC cakewalk user for a long time so now i have to decide on a recording software for my i mac.As far as i know the contenders are:

Pro tools
Logic Pro
Nuendo
Cubase

since i have an RME FW 800 soundcard protools is at this point out of the question
so which one would you say is the most professional intuitive and complete so there is no need for me to get xy tra pluginis, mastering sw etc.? i just wnat to make the right decision from the begining because mac stuff aint cheap and logic doesnt even offer demo versions.
thanx mac guys!
Luis

For me, Logic/Mainstage is indeed the main reason for Mac.

If I'd go the PC road, it would probably be Reaper/Bidule/Komplete as a starting point, possibly checking out also Ableton.

I'll see what I'll do.
