I ended up buying a Godin Freeway and a Roland GI-20 for conversion into my 
PC.  It's basically the same setup McLaughlin used for some time, and may 
still be using. If it works for him, it will work for me.  :)

The Godin/Roland combo is still my setup of choice, however, since it
doesn't require the same level of tweakage that the Sonuss does.
