Might be just because that string is so thin? I was just playing e-bow
on another fretless guitar here, one with only a bridge pickup but
thick and low tuned .013 strings. On this guitar there's no issue with
the highest pitched string. I guess that's because it still is rather
thick; actually like a regular B string, but at the E-string position
and tuned to B.

Interesting as well to experience excellent e-bow respons in this
instrument that doesn't have a neck pickup! Even the e-bow
manufacturer's manual states that the guitar should have a neck pickup
for the e-bow to work well, but this seems inaccurate according to my
experience with this bridge-PUP-only fretless.
