Re: What's super exciting and new for loopers these days, especially software?

Yes, Torben. I'm sad too regarding the state of Mobius. But from
Jeff's posts at the Mobius forum there is no doubts about his wishes
for getting down with the new Mobius. He did invest in a high-end GUI
coding library to make it really "pro looking". The issue seems to be
lack of time, since Mobius isn't a commercial product. Jeff is a good
programmer and at the moment I guess his services are required full
time at his day-time job.

I upgraded my Macbook Pro from 8 MB ram to 16 MB and didn't notice any
increased capabilities at all for looping. The reason I took that
upgrade is that on 8 MB I couldn't run certain KONTAKT 5 sampling
libraries within the 4 MB active-in-application RAM limit there is for
a 32-bit OS. But running my DAW at 64-bit code I could read all those
long samples into RAM and work very fast. When live looping you really
don't need to juggle around 4 MB in RAM so 32-bit tools work just as
good as 64-bit.
