Re: MERRY HAPPY ETC.

Also, Yule, Chanukah,  Eid al-Adha (Muslim Winter Feast of the Sacrifice), Yalda (Persian Winter festival), Pancha Ganapati (the Hindu version) and of course....Saturnalia and also the very ancient  Greek Winter Festival and the Mesopotamian Winter Carnival which featured mummers-style parades with floats carrying glorious scenes of Sex among the Gods.
All three of these celebrations preceded in time the others mentioned above.

Also, the Greek Winter Festival honored another populist Son of God with a human mother, who worked miracles, was associated with wine, and was miraculously resurrected after death. (sound familiar?) His name was Dionysus. The Mesopotamian Winter Carnaval featured mummers-style parades with floats carrying glorious scenes of sex among the Gods.

Oh yeah!  Party DOWN!  While ya STILL CAN!  :-)  As the days now begin to grow longer....
