Hi, my name is Kim Flint, I dreamed up this Looper's Delight thing and I'm the one who runs it (with some help....). As it happens, the site has grown and become very popular, and a lot of visitors to the site send me email. I get tons of it. Unfortunately, I'm a rather busy person, and I just don't have time to answer it all. Don't get me wrong, I like hearing from people! And I do try to answer everybody eventually. However, it's not uncommon for someone to ask me a question and wait as much as two months before they get a reply. Terrible, right? Yes, terrible for me and you. So, before I give you my email address, please read through my personal FAQ and see if you can find the answer to your question.

If you notice something wrong with the site, like spelling errors, broken links, erroneous info, whatever, please let me know!
If you think something important is missing from Looper's Delight, I'd like to know that too. It's certainly not complete. HOWEVER, most of the stuff on Looper's Delight is the result of volunteers from the Looper's Delight community. A lot of people have made fantastic contributions, and I'm always looking for more people to help out. If you think something is missing or you know something that might be useful to others, how about taking on the project yourself and sending in a contribution? The looper community will thank you, and you'll gain fame and fortune by having your name prominently displayed on Looper's Delight!
The Looper's Delight mailing list is an incredible resource. If you have some Looping related question, that is an excellent place to ask it. There are hundreds of knowledgeable people there who can certainly give you an answer, probably a lot faster than I will.

Where can I buy an Gibson/Oberheim Echoplex?

I don't know why people ask me this so often. In general, when you have trouble locating something, your best bet is to contact the manufacturer and ask them to help you find a dealer. Manufacturers will be happy to let you know where to buy their stuff. Whereas, I'm just some guy with a website. Why would I know? If you need to contact somebody at Gibson for Echoplex customer service, their email is service@gibson.com. Their phone number is 1-800-444-2766.

Where can I find a Lexicon Jamman?

I don't know. I don't follow used gear markets. Jammans are out of production, rare, and seem to go for stupidly high prices used. You might want to check the Looper's Delight mailing list, oftentimes forsale notices are posted there.

Are you selling an x, y, or z?

no, Looper's Delight does not have anything to do with any store, and I'm not a dealer of any sort. I'm not selling any of my own stuff either.

Can you add my URL to your Links page?

Sorry, there is no Looper's Delight links page, nor will there be. It's too much of a pain in the ass to maintain such a thing. Instead, you may want to add yourself to Looper's Of The World profiles section. You can place links to your website in your profile.

Sorry, no. The Looper's Delight Mailing List Archive is never edited for any reason. The archive is just that, an archive. What goes in never comes out. It is intended to be a complete record of the list history. If you don't like this policy, don't post to the list.

Secondly, I don't want to be in the role of judging what is ok to edit and what is not. Once such a line is drawn, the line can be moved. The possibility of corruption hangs over the process, breeding suspicion, resentments, accusations. Better to never draw the line at all.

Can we place an advertisement on Looper's Delight?

If you are selling something that visitors to this site are likely to be interested in buying, than yes you probably can. I am looking for ways to make Looper's Delight financially self sufficient, and advertising is one way for that to happen. See the Advertising page for more information.

Yes you can! Looper's Delight is expensive to run, and it is all paid for by me and the meager earnings I get from various ads. (in other words, it is mostly paid for by me since the ads don't make much money.) Any monetary support you can offer is very much appreciated. Yes you can! Many people have asked for this option so that they don't forget to support LD, or so they can spread their donation out to make it easy to pay. This is a big help for me also, because it means regular money coming in to pay the bills for the site.
