the MFC10 has a delay of about 80mS from hitting the switch to
sending the command.
Totally useless for looping.
..well, and for music really.

I confirmed this with Yamaha tech support in UK.
...but Yamaha UK had no way to take it further.

It's a shame, as otherwise it's quite a sophisticated unit.
Sometimes I use it for patch changes, and 
the CC pedal is ok.

The FCB1010 is cheap enough to buy another if it craps out,
but so far mine didn't, despite being used fairly intensively.
A lot of live loopers use it.
