I see your point here. I can imagine using OSC with Mobius for
settings you typically adjust between the pieces you perform. Like
changing Setup to call up a new MIDI configuration that patches your
foot control Rate Shift setup for a different scale. I prefer foot
control in most other situations. My dream is a floor based touch pad
to paint instant sound design X-Y vector grid wise while playing.

Totally with you on this, Bill. Personally I recently sacrificed "my
free hand" on the Altar of The Stick. Personally, I see not much use
for iPhone in live looping performance. An iPad would be useful
though, I think, but not for live looping. Rather for performing with
all-in-the-box electronic instruments as in doing live modular
sequencing improvisations. IMHO the point with these gadgets is not to
get rid of physical cables but to be able to perform multiple instant
gestures on the multi touch screen. So the strength of touch screen is
kind of diminished by physical instruments you play using your hands.
